Shed: Import opening inventory from a file
Setting up a new storage in Shed just got a lot faster. When recording opening inventory for a storage, you can now upload a file and have Shed fill in the line items for you.
How it works
From the Opening Inventory page for a storage, click Import and upload a photo, PDF, CSV or XLSX listing your products, pack sizes and quantities. Shed will read the file and extract each line item, matching them against products already in your account where it can.
Imported products are added to whatever's already recorded on the storage rather than replacing it, so if you import the same file twice you'll need to remove any duplicates manually.
If you're setting up a new storage in Shed, this should save you a lot of manual entry. Give it a try next time you need to record an opening count.
