Shed: Product Aliases

Many growers organise their Shed inventory by active ingredient (Glyphosate 450, Chlorpyrifos 500, etc.). This approach keeps the product list manageable and simplifies tracking across brand switches and supplier changes.

The trade-off: receipting becomes harder, duplicated products require merging, and you lose visibility into which brand was actually purchased.

Product Aliases fix this. You can now attach one or more trade names to any product in Shed and use them when recording receipts

Setting up aliases

Go to Setup → Product Aliases to manage your aliases. For each alias, select the product it maps to and give it a name. Alias names must be unique across your account and can't conflict with an existing product name.

Recording receipts

When adding a product to a receipt, you'll now see aliases listed in the product picker alongside your primary products. Select the alias that matches your delivery document and it will be shown as the primary name on the receipt.

Where aliases are supported

Aliases are currently available on receipts. We plan to extend support to other record types in Shed over time.
